This one started years ago as a piece for acoustic guitar – a few fancy jazz chords, a bit of tricky rhythm at the end, but overall quite boring. During recording it evolved a bit. The celestas, some synths and a Hammond organ took over the guitar part. The end went to the middle. Some other guitars came and stayed.
I've liked celestas ever since I heard them in some Shostakovich symphony. Maybe it was his 4th, one of the greatest symphonies at all, or the 15th, don't know anymore. But as you might hear I like Hammond organs too.
There was a time when noise – and especially tape hiss – was the big enemy during recording. Now I had to willingly add some noises – quantization noise, vinyl noise, drum brush noise, tube amplifier noise, noisy drums ..., as it felt right.
Dedicated to byte.fm radio, as their at times quite weird music mix gave me some inspiration.

lyrics:
Let me move out slowly
I want to be alone
If life fails to deliver
your broken plans can’t be undone
Time flows without aching
Money comes and money goes
down this dirty river
down this open road and how it does
If this is not what you’ve trained for
there might be something you missed
What’s the limit as x goes to zero
and some true lives remain unlived?
Where was I when it started?
Is there any sense in this?
A finite loop, “full of sound and fury
signifying nothing”, lacking bliss.
